    Hi All,

I’ve looked everywhere and tried everything I have found on the forums but I cannot get Filedownload and FURL’s to work as I think they should.

    I’m running:
    Modx 0.9.6
    Apache 2.0.54
    php 4.4.4
    w2k server

    My htaccess looks like this:
    # The Friendly URLs part
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule ^([^/]*)/?(.*)$ index.php?q=$1&d=$2 [L,QSA,NC]

    base has been set too.

When I activated FURL’s I have to use index.php?q= in the prefix section. I would like it to just use the alias in the web address like:

    www.domain.com/SiteMap not www.domain.com/index.php?q=SiteMap

When I try downloading a file my URL then looks like:

    www.domain.com/index.php?q=SiteMap/filetodownload.txt

Which takes me to the 404 page.

Its driving me absolutely nuts. I’m not getting any error message in the log it just doesn’t want to work sad

SOLVED: I forgot to change the default directory contained in the <DIRECTORY> Seciton in http.conf... working like a charm now that I’ve stopped banging my head against a break wall.
