File Download R Install Error

I am trying to download the File Download R Extra to use on my site. When I download the extra I get an error "Could not load package metadata for package filedownload.". When I attempt to call this snippet I get two errors on the page,
1. Notice: Undefined variable: cleanPaths in C:\wamp\www\revolution-new\core\components\filedownload\models\filedownload\filedownload.class.php on line 75
2. Notice: Undefined index: wrapper in C:\wamp\www\revolution-new\core\components\filedownload\models\filedownload\filedownload.class.php on line 971
The funny thing about this is that the PHP errors show up but it works perfectly under the errors. Has anyone run into this problem? Does it have something to do with the wamp server I am running this on? [ed. note: jsteffan1 last edited this post 14 years, 4 months ago.]

There is a bit of sloppy programming on those two lines that shows up when PHP is configured to show E_NOTICE errors. I'm seeing the same thing in some of my own extras. It's a notice, not an error, so it's not serious.

You can either turn off E_NOTICE reporting, or those two lines of code from the filedownload.class.php file here (and maybe a line or two above and below) and we'll see if we can fix them for you.

PLEASE, PLEASE specify the version of MODX you are using.

Awesome! I uncommented the line Default Value: E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE in my php.ini file and it got rid of the notices. Thank you so much!!

Fixed on FDL rc-4.
Still waiting the working MODX's extra page.
