I am having problems with what should be the simplest of things. Correct me where I go wrong. If I want a new page I click on site -> new document. As long as I set the document to publish I should be able to link to it. I went ahead and tried to use wayfinder, but the links aren’t working. I am getting object not found. I just have two documents right now, so I only have two links. The home link works, but the other one doesn’t. This happens on my own template, and every other template I try. I am doing something wrong. Also, does anyone know of a good tutorial that covers everything for building templates?

Did you turn Tools->Configuration->Friendly URLs->Use friendly URLs: On? Then you also have to make sure, that the .htaccess files are set properly (and you have permission to do so) ...
I would leave it turned off for the start ...

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I turned it off like you suggested and everything works. After I get a better feel for modx, I will figure out what I need to do with the .htaccess configurations to make friendly urls work.
