$_REQUEST & $_GET in Chunks

I've looked around but not found anything on this. Is there a way, without building and calling a custom snippet, to grab a $_REQUEST or a $_GET variable? For example, I have a link on a page that I want to pass current variables.

[[~2? &val=`[[GETorREQUESTvalue]]`]]

You can just use the getReqParam snippet (non-cacheable, of course) to use any GPC vars anywhere in your site.
