Using REVO 2.3.0 from git.
I'm trying to create a top menu for a custom components. I want it on the top menu bar and not under components... And I'd like it to act as other 'main' menu entries (Site, Components Security etc...) : no action on the main top entry, and actions displayed as submenus...
But I'm facing a wall, it seems impossible to create top menu entry with no action... Looking at the other ones (Site, Security etc...) they have no action registered, but when I try, in my case, I can not save the menu if I don't fill action... (The creation window still open and the action field displayed as error in red)
Is there a way to achieve what I want ? Is it a bug or a normal behavior ? Should I post a ticket/request/bug on JIRA ?

If I can recall correctly, there is an option called "No Action" or something similar in that list, use that.

The list you are talking about seems to have disappeared in Revo 2.3-0-dev from git (fresh install this morning)...
Action field is a text field not a list... And if I try to type No Action inside it, and click the top menu I have an error message (can't fin action file at... as expected as there's no controller called noaction)
The only way I found atmo it's to create the top menu and submenus, then go in DB and remove the action in the top menu...
