I need the new user to have to log in after they have clicked the confirmURL button. Once they click to go to the website, I want them to have to log in, not be automatically logged in because of
some functionality I need to have for the new members. I am new to MODX so any ideas would be appreicated.

Try putting &authenticate=`0` in the ConfirmRegister snippet tag and &redirectTo=`##` where ## is the ID of your Login page.
