NewsPublisher not creating any resources

Hi all, I've installed NewsPublisher 1.2.1 on MODX Revolution 2.2.0-pl2.
I've used the basic & the example from http://bobsguides.com/newspublisher-tutorial.html but neither create a resource.

The page just refreshes & displays the form (filled in) again, no error etc.

Maybe NewsPublisher 1.2.1 is out dated for Modx 2.2 as NewsPublisher 1.3 is mentioned on http://bobsguides.com/newspublisher-tutorial.html but I cant find it anywhere?

All help appreciated.

The new version should work on Revolution 2.2.2, but I haven't had time to test it. I'm hoping to get it out soon.

Just download it to your core/packages directory and in Package Manager, Search Locally for Packages.

Let me know if it works.

Hi Bob, NewsPublisher worked fine on another install ok so not sure what the issue is.....great addon by the way. Very easy to use once it gets going.

I upgraded Modx to 2.2.2 & installed NewsPublisher 1.3
Now I'm getting an error: You do not have permission to create a document. (I'm a Super User).

However, when I visit the NewsPublisher page from the homepage I can see the form.
But if I fill it in I get the same error again (no resource created).

I'm not sure what would cause that. You need view_document and save_document, but as a Super User, you should have those. You may have to log in in the front end first.

I think to save, you also need 'save' permission for the resource if it's in a protected resource group.
