This is now solved. Long story...
Hi, I'm working on shared hosting, Linux, PHP5, and Rev-2.2.2-pl new install. Did a successful standard install several times, decided to attempt the advanced install. A few bumps, but a successful install. Got to the "sign in" button for the manager. I get a 404 not found. The browser window shows the correct URL for the relocated "manager".
Checked the config file and found a couple of typos where I had entered context paths, and a couple of leading '/' were missing. I manually added those and tried again. Still getting the 404.
Today I moved the "setup" directory back in place, and re-installed. Totally successful all the way through. All tests green, not even a hiccup.
Get to the sign-in button and it goes 404...
Obviously, I have a custom directory tree here, and perhaps something needs tweaked, but I've looked at everything I can think of without spotting an error. The install was successful.
What is the server not finding? Any ideas for a direction to look next?
