How do I change paths for second level deep items

Hi,
I’m having strange issues with our friendly urls on second level deep documents. When I include a document reference [~19~] on a main level page it outputs ’contact’ but if I place that same call on a second level deep page it outputs ’home/contact’
Now when this is combined within an href of an ’a’ tag then the link shows up as
http://www.thesite.com/home/home/contact
and what I want is
http://www.thesite.com/home/contact.
What am I doing wrong in my configuration and how do I fix this?
thanks,
-bryan

Add:
<base href="[(site_url)]" />
in your template’s head tag. And for the links in the page, use the link tags like this:
<a href="[~19~]">Link</a>
Hope this helps.
regards.
