One particular web site out of 3, very very frequently. Worse with Firefox and Chrome than IE and Safari.
I read a tip that was supposed to fix this. It actually fixed the problem for the next two sessions and then the link list went missing again. That tip was
It seems it is a cache issue, what seemed to fix it was:
Tools > Configuration > Interface and Features > Editor to Use > TinyMCE
Tools > Configuration > Interface and Features > Theme > Custom
Then, under user accounts I did the same:
Security > Manager Users > {username} > User > Editor to Use > TinyMCE
Security > Manager Users > {username} > User > Theme > Custom
Clear cache, logout, restart browser.

Shouldn't need to do this again, it should be a permanent fix. It will be worth updating the account settings for any user created.
Can any of you offer a remedy or any debugging tool I can use to get a better hold on this. Any thing I can do with htaccess or php.ini? This darned thing worked faithfully for so long.
BTW, I'm using Evolution and the host behaving the worst is Network Solutions.
Thanks very much to any takers ... Sam
