I'm surprised I couldn't find any relief on this issue, Searched everything I could think of.
There's no question that the Link List feature of TinyMCE is invaluable in linking to an internal resource by ID. The problem, however, is that some of our sublists are as long as 100 items (and growing) and it's increasingly difficult to locate the item in the dropdown by its pagetitle.
Isn't there some way to have the major sorting continue to be "menuindex" and yet have the child entries sorted by pagetitle?
Thanks very much to anyone who can help me on this.

MODX Evolution or Revolution?
Evolution 1.0.4. "microcipcip".
Sorry, but I just lost faith in that solution for several reasons:
1. You didn't try it and couldn't assure me it would work.
2. I followed your link above which provides the code you referred to but it states that an API library is required and the link to that went bad.
3. I then took the link he provided to his support page, authored by a user with the monicker "blue indigo". He also provided a link to the code there and that link is bad.
Too much uncertainty here to pursue.
"microcipcip", I appreciate your follow-thru. I'm not a MODx Developer, instead a Web Designer. I've Googled this subject for several hours and haven't found anything promising.
Rather than putting my client's system at risk with untried code, I'm going to contact the MODx Developer they used and see if they know of anything. I'll also hope (perhaps against hope) that someone will come to this thread with a known solution.
Thanks ... Sam
