We work with a number of vendors and some of them provide code so that we can have a full "Vendor microsite" within our own website. Usually this consists of a small line of code that calls a script that runs within our page. From this, visitors can click links and access information that is all provided from a remote site and it all works within the nice template we have set up for our own site.

However, one vendor has provided a different method that I have trouble making work. It is simply an "index.php" file that runs a mini-website with about 5 main links. If I upload this file outside of ModX in its own directory, the "microsite" works properly and all links go to new pages. But when I put this index.php file into a snippet and incorporate it into one of our pages, only the microsite home page works. All the other links just go back to our home page. I am wondering if this is because the page should be a PHP page instead of an HTML page. And, if so, how can I make it so if the site is configured already to append .html to every page? Any suggestions? Thanks

I think I found the problem. My template had the basereference set to my home page. I removed that line from the template and all is working OK.
