Hi there, this is my first post and apologies if i post in the wrong section but my issue is soooo out of date I was not sure where to start.

This is my first Modex job and my client is still using ver 0.9.5. I have been tasked to get a Jquery sliding menu working on the home page and after reading all the old posts I could find I still cant get the Jscript I have inserted into the Template header to work on the page. The Menu is installed on the page OK and reads the images and css from the template header but does not want to talk to the Jscript files in the root js folder. I have inserted the code below into the template header and tried variations in the code but with no luck. Any suggestions??

    <script type="text/javascript" src="/assets/js/jquery-1.5.2.js" ></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="/assets/js/atooltip.jquery.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="/assets/js/kwicks-1.5.1.pack.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="/assets/js/script.js"></script>

The only other odd thing is that the CMS would not upload a PIE.htc file that should sit with the Jscript files so the fact this is missing might have a bearing on why I have hit this dead end.

    Sob sob

MODx doesn't care what script or .css files you try to load. If the tags have the proper URLs to the files, they'll load. Make sure your files are where you think they are.

If the links aren't in the document head of the actual pages as viewed with your browser, then make sure the resource (document) is in fact using the template with the links.

You've a problem with the path, can you try to remove the first slash from the js path?

          Hi,

Yes I have tried that and also tried inserting [(base_url)] as well but to no avail. Interestingly when you inspect the element in Firefox with Firebug the Script tab reads the Jscript files in the correct location but shows another directory /web/ before the /assets/ file so i will try adding that in manually as see what happens.

Thanks for the feedback, I have checked the files are where they should be and the page source shows them and the script in the header. I am baffled and can only thing there is a setting in Modx stopping them running or as viewable in the attached page view code there is a conflict with the plugin MooTools or Slimbox.

Any theories would be more than appreciated, remember I am new to Modex but think I have tried all the obvious things.

            Thanks

Check if you have the plugin QuickManager enabled, the plugin adds jquery on the Front End for logged in users, so there may be a conflict. You can also log out from the manager and see if the slideshow start working.
