    I am new to modx and for the last few days I’ve had some trouble getting started.

    I installed it without any problems and started working. Here are some issues.

    I login into the manager. It directs me to the page "http://localhost/php/manager/" and I get, of course, "404 not found". Now, that is quite wrong, since i installed modx into folder "../htdocs/modx" not "/php". When i return to the login page using Back in browser, I get logged in and there are no problems any more.

    So, then I start making pages (following basic tutorial on wiki etc) and everything works nice, until I want to use links. For instance, link in QuickEdit. They all also point to "/localhost/php".

    This probably explains why I don’t get editors (both TinyCE and FCK) to work inside manager. Also using base_url in documents deosn’t work.

    So, is there a setting or something to get this wright? I hope I was clear enough.

    Thanx!

      Hi,

      sounds strange. In the manager go to Tools => Configuration and check the "File Manager" & "Interface & Features" maybe you will find something there.

      Apart from that I have no idea where in the db to look.

      Sorry,
      Taff

        Sounds like you have a PHP configuration issue. Look at your phpinfo from the Manager or by placing a php file with the phpinfo() function in it at the /modx/manager directory. Also, make sure your .htaccess mod_rewrite rule (if renamed from ht.access) is properly configured to handle the subdirectory as indicated in the comments of that file.

          well, I’ve dug something up from the database.
          first of all, I’ve done a little

          SELECT * FROM modx.modx_system_settings m;

          and there I saw that instead of base_dir and base_url there are rb_base_dir and rb_base_url. So, In my pages I started using rb_base_url instead of base_url like was said in tutorial and voilla, I finally can look up my resources.

          But that doesn’t change anything else. Other modules hopelessly still see /php/ instead of proper folder.
