Hi,
i have 1 client that keeps getting a blank manager screen. Its not always happening but once a browser (usualy IE8 of FF) encounters it it will not go away.
It starts with the first screen that will show the dashboard but NOT the site tree. after that all manager pages are blank.
I tried emptying the MODX cache, they clear the browser cache, i fysicaly remove all files on the server in the cache folder. it helps for a moment but not for long,it's only a matter of time until the client calls.... 'we've got a blank screen again. This happend all through 2.0.0 until 2.2.2 pl today.
every version of MODX seems to atract this thing. BTW i have several sites in modx running with clients and this is the only one that has this problem
Please what can this be? client wants me to investigate drupal allready. I need to be able to fix this for good
What could this be
Try setting the compress_js (and maybe compress_css) System Settings to 'No'.
In System -> System Settings, type compress in the search box at the upper right, then double-click on the values to change them.

By sheer luck someone here noticed we we're testing on ourdomain.nl instead of www.ourdomain.nl.
and that made all the difference. It is strange though because the site works on the TLD and the top menu also shows.
I turned off js compression like Bob suggested but that didn't help obviously.
But i do not understand what the JS and the domain VS subdomain difference could be about.

Uncomment one of the sections in the MODX .htaccess that forces www or non-www. It can cause problems when users are not all on same domain.
