I've seen that a lot of people have had similar problems to my problem, but I haven't been able to fix problem from all of the suggested solutions I've read. So I hope you guys will be able to help me out.
I haven't installed the MODX installation myself (my client had another guy take care of that some time ago) but I've been asked to develop some extra functionality. I tried to use some of the packages available for MODX, but wasn't able to do that because the version wasn't up-to-date. So I tried to update the MODX installation, but failed. After updating the files (I followed the guide on this website) all the site's content disappeared and so did the content in the Manager.
I backed up with my backup of the site, and got it to work again. The site is working, but I can't login to the manager module!
I get the following error:
That account could not be located. Check the username and re-type the password to try again.
That does not make any sense, since I know the account is there and is activated. I've tried to add a new account manually through phpMyAdmin but these accounts doesn't work either.
It seems like I've tried everything but I can't get it to work. I've also tried to clear the cache, clear the session table, clear the user information and insert new user again...
I hope someone out there can help me.
I don't know how to find out what version of MODX I'm using when I can't get into the manager module. But I know that it's not the newest version...
