Hi, I need some help with this one.

    System info:
    Linux
    MODX Revolution 2.2.1-pl (traditional)
    Quip 2.3.1
    Articles 1.6.0
    Various other extras...
    PHP Version 5.3.3
    MySQL 5.0.95
    Apache mod_php
Behavior seems the same on Chrome and Safari.

I'm unable to post a comment.
I fill out the form (using my own chunk called quipAddComment, copied from http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/Quip.QuipReply.tplAddComment)
When I click on submit (or preview) the page just reloads, but the new comment is not added.
I've disabled captcha, but that wasn't it.

    Where should I be looking?

Argh! 46 views and NO replies!

Well, I've narrowed it down a bit. It seems that the first comment works.
Subsequent comments do not get added, and the page is simply returned --
Until I clear the cache. After that, the next comment works, and subsequent comments fail.

Any ideas what's causing this strange behavior?

It seems like somewhere the cached page should be refreshed. Why would that not be happening?

Just noticed this in the log, too --

        [2012-05-22 23:30:20] (ERROR @ /index.php) Error 42S22 executing statement:

[2] => Unknown column 'quipCommentNotify.createdon' in 'field list'
        )

The install process did not recreate or alter the database tables (specifically, quip_comment_notify).

I removed the tables by hand, and deleted and re-installed Quip 2.3.1. The new database tables appear correct. I'm not getting the "Array" error from above. But I'm still getting this error:
[2012-05-23 15:12:55] (ERROR @ /index.php) `` is not a valid integer and may not be passed to makeUrl()
[2012-05-23 15:12:55] (ERROR @ /index.php) `` is not a valid integer and may not be passed to makeUrl()
[2012-05-23 15:12:55] (ERROR @ /index.php) `` is not a valid integer and may not be passed to makeUrl()

          And still the same behavior:
          1. Preview fails (just returns the same page)
          2. Post works, but only as long as you clear the cache first

The install process appeared to hang with "Console running..."
I clicked okay, and apparently Quip was installed, but since it did not print much output and complete I wonder if something else is going on. [ed. note: liamk7 last edited this post 14 years, 5 months ago.]

I cleared all the files in the cache directory by hand (instead of using the Site-->Clear Cache menu) and now the ERRORS re: makeUrl() have disappeared.
I still have the alternating success/failure problem, however.

            1. Preview fails (just returns the same page)
            2. Post works, but only as long as you clear the cache first

            Help?
