MODX: New logo?

I see another logo on www.modx.com, is this the official logo now?

No.

MODX have the creative freedom to change it at any time.

I like the one with the relatively recent multi coloured 4 + 4 diagonal stripes logo best, as per on the forum.

The new one on the modx home page is less dynamic and looks like wrapping paper.

Great tag line though!

Yes, it is the new logo. I always thought the old one looked like a fabric company logo.

Just have noticed the change... I don't like the new one, sorry but I feel it's ugly.

:D

The new one does look a bit like a tartan company logo, although I do like the tagline. I think the old one (the one still on the forum header) is much more dynamic.

I'd be keen to hear the reasoning behind the updated design... wonder if Ryan & co can shed any light?

Some will like it. Some will hate it. But it's here for now, but may see additional iterations in the future.

I like the new logo, it is clean. I have asked about this because I think that it is not a good idea to change it often, that's all. Many websites and blog articles are using the previous one and will have to update it to the new version.
