As my slow ftp software uploads the latest 2.2.2 version, I am looking at the core/packages/core/modSomethings and they are multiplying ;-)
These files have seemingly random alphanumeric names, which appear to be different with each release. Because the names are different, the old files don't get overwritten and remain in the folders. And while they aren't huge files, the total that are accumulating is growing rapidly with each successive update.
Are these older files necessary? Or should we be deleting those directories before uploading the newest version? Or ??
My second aspect of query is the core/lexicon files ... if we plan only to use English, are all of the other language folders necessary? The lexicon files seem to be about 4.5 meg, so deleting the un-needed languages would speed the ftp process up a bit. But I am concerned as to whether or not add on packages use these same folders to install their own language files or not.
