Custom Resource Class - hide_childen_in_tree has no effect?

    Setting "hide_children_in_tree" to true in my crc has no effect, they are listed anyway.
    It seems to work when setting "show_in_tree" to false for Children-Resources (as done with the Articles Addon).
    However, in my case I wanted to have normal Documents (modDocument) as Children.

    Is this a "bug"?
    My goal is to hide resources from the Tree and display them in a Grid inside the Parent-Resource.
