I'm trying to use Git version upstream of MODx. After installing 2.3.0-dev (new install), I cant edit any file through Files tab on the Resources Tree. I've checked for options under System Settings but nothing seems worked out. It should be little annoyed that I have to edit some files by CPanel or sFtp.
Is it a bug or this feature is going to be deprecated next version? Or is there any hidden switch that I can touch to make it work?

    Thanks.

It's likely a permissions issue on your install; this works fine for me on 2.3-dev.

Um, I'm not sure that I setup any permission at the beginning. Resources Group, Media Resources, User Policies etc, I didn't set them up. It's a clean new install.
I can create new files then add contents to new files right after they're created. But after that, right click them doesn't show up the option "Edit file". I can rename, delete, but just cant edit them.

No, I mean a permissions issue with files, on the server level.

Also, are there any JS errors? Any errors in core/cache/logs/error.log?

Since I can create file and rename file, it shouldnt be the permissions issue.
I havent catched any error by using Firebug, and error.log is still clean. Is that my core build getting wrong? (I followed the rftm - Git install docs).

I've just downloaded and replace 2.3-dev with 2.2. Now the problem is gone. I'm sure there're something with my core build or 2.3-dev problem.
