Hey guys! i cant believe this - i just lost my galleries online.

I have Revolution 2.1.5-pl and was previously using gallery 1.4.

I went to package management and downloaded and tried to install Gallery 1.5

Then installation does not complete but leaves the console window open. I have attached the entire console window contents in the text file attached.

Now In the package management screen its says Gallery 1.5 is not installed and i cant revert to the previous version. This is such a headache!!!

    what am i doing wrong??

My photo library now is not working as it should. All the thumbnails from the gallery should be displayed, but its only showing the title and descriptions http://www.antsinmyspacebar.com/modx/barry-oneill-photography.html?galAlbum=10 [ed. note: bazpaul last edited this post 14 years, 5 months ago.]

goto http://modx.com/extras/package/gallery and click the prev.versions tab, you'll be able to download it from there and install it manualy

Ok i found the solution....for any other MODX noobs out there.

To install an old release of a package, you must right click on the newest package in package manager and click remove package.

Then Download the package you want from the site above and FTP it over to the package directory in your MODX folder.

Then, in package manager click to add local packages and the previous release should pop up!!

hmmm......it would be nice if modx prompted you before trying to install an unsupported package:

"You are currently using Revolution 2.1. The package you are trying to install supports only Revolution 2.3 or higher. Are you sure you wish to continue?"
