Formit + Base href = no good

I guess it's not the Friendly urls. Without them and .htaccess removed, the form action still looks like this: index.php?id=12?id=

Ok, now when viewing the source the form tag displays everything correctly, like so:



Still the form is not sending anything. It only empties the fields. Also the IE7/IE8 issue continues to evade me. When I remove base href from head, form and media queries work but everything else, not surprisingly, melts down.

Phew, solved at last. My site_url was set to http://www.example.com while my .htaccess redirected everything to http://example.com. Changing site_url to reflect this corrected everything.

What a confusing monologue of a thread this was Hope it's useful to someone else wrestling with this. Conclusion: Check them settings and .htaccess stuff before panicking.
