Not sure if this is the right place or not, if it's not I apologize.

I'm in the process of moving a MODx installation from a local dev VPS to our public dedicated server, I copied all of the files over and initially I was able to access index.php and it would mostly work, I just wasn't able to access /manager, it was a blank screen. So I re-uploaded /manager and now was presented with an Error 500. I tried uploading /setup and run setup in Upgrade mode (saw that suggestion in another topic) but the ajax request to /processors/connector.php is also returning a server 500 error with the error being: {"message":"No processor specified!","fields":[],"type":"error","object":[],"success":false} . After attempting to do that now I can't even get /index.php to work (Error 500). So everything public and manager throw error 500's and I can't run setup as the ajax'd file also get's an error 500. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a log file or a way to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

when you copied over the files did you change the config settings in
      /manager/includes/config
      to find your new database?

It is really easy to miss a few of the config settings if you do it manually. Also you do not know if you have any other odd issues that seem to crop up at times.

          What I do is this:
          1. Install Modx as if it is a brand new install on the new server. That is create a new database and leave it blank. Upload a complete set of install files (NOT from the existing install but a 'fresh set' as downloaded from Modx) Run the install, but DO NOT delete the setup folder (well you can but then you will have to upload it again!)

          2. Install all the extras you use.

          3. Check to see if it basically works (Manager and site)

          4. Drop all the tables in the database and create a new set of tables from a backup of the original site.

          5. Run setup again as an upgrade.

            That worked! Thank you.

The topic applies but my situation is different. My hosting company moved my site to a different server and now MODx Manager doesn't fully function for me. I can't access most of my resources. I can access templates and template variables, but not chunks. I can see Resource Groups under Security but that's all I can access (not user, not policies). I've run setup/upgrade and restored a previous database backup, but have same problems.
