I've recently implemented a blog using Articles. It's worked pretty well so far I think, but while I've been able to conditionally display the 'popular tags' bit in a sidebar using 'notempty' I find I can't do the same with the [[+latest-comments]] placeholder.
Despite the placeholder actually producing zero characters when used, literally empty, it seems it's not really empty and insists on presenting my wrapping HTML in spite of the 'notempty' filter being used and there subsequently being no comments inside.
Not a huge problem, but my client would like to hide the latest comments bit while there are none, and I'd rather it wasn't manual.
If anyone can explain why my plan might not be working, I'd appreciate it. A fix or alternative solution would be just as welcome!
Oh it seems some of what I wrote above has been stripped. Probably because I used modx tags.
First paragraph, at the end: I was referrign to the +latest-comments placeholder.
