Embed a SWF

I must be doing something wrong here; i want to embed my swf in my HTML page, but the bit of code seems to "disappear" when i preview my page

here is the code in my chunk;

what am i doing wrong? it seemed so simple at first sad

how can i simply embed the swf i have imported, in the same way i do with pictures? [ed. note: gaelle last edited this post 14 years, 6 months ago.]

Which bit of code disappears? Maybe I have not stared at it long enough!!!
But...
I do see some problems with double quotes in the chunk code:
line 9 - missing a closing "
lines 6 and 13 - you can't nest double quotes - browser will see

value="<a href="

Hint - if look at the OP the formatting of the code will give you some clues that something is not right:
You have:

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="[+SWF1+]>

I think you want (note the blue):

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="[+SWF1+]">

and

<param name="expressinstall" value="<a href="http://blahblah/expressInstall.swf"" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://blahblah/expressInstall.swf"</a> />

I think you want to use this:

<param name="expressinstall" value='<a href="http://blahblah/expressInstall.swf" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://blahblah/expressInstall.swf"</a>' />

not sure what was the difference, but the following worked.. now i am looking forward to resctrict the to its designed size, as all elements off stages are showing..
