    This is a really weird one and it may have something to do with Media Sources but I wondered if someone had experienced the same or suggest some fixes. Details of install;

    • ModX 2.2.0-pl2
    • PHP Version 5.3.8
    • Mem Limit 128M

    Not sure what else you might need to know as far as set up goes.

    The two issues I have is that no thumbnails are created anywhere in the manager area. When I check on Chrome js tools I see that resources have failed to open.

    Also I have TinyMCE and it all works fine apart from the link dialogue box, which has the same problem. Resources fail to load and so the link creator fails.

    Does anyone have any idea what either of these issues could be please?

      just another phpthumb path bug instance

      if you need to use images, go back to Evolution [ed. note: rygar last edited this post 14 years, 4 months ago.]

        @rygar - that was really not very helpful, I wonder what you hoped to achieve with that comment :/

        @tobyyoto - I'm not sure which thumbnails you are referring to. Are they within the image/file browser window? Are you able to post some screenshots and the error messages you are seeing in Chrome dev tools?

          I'm simply telling that there is currently no way to fix it, and since it is broken for several months - OP should not expect quick fix. therefore - either evolution, or older revolution (probably before media sources were introduced). I think I'm going to upgrade to 2.2.2 today and see if that nudges it into life. I have to kinda agree with rygar a bit to say that phpthumb has been a bit hit and miss in recent incarnations of Revolution but that isn't really a reason to step backwards.

            I'll let you know how I get on and, if it doesn't help, I'll post some errors and screenshots.

            Thanks guys.

              Hmmm... Upgraded and no better.

              @Lucas Yes, I do mean the images/file window and also on the Template Variables tab when editing a resource the thumbnail doesn't show there either.

              Chrome javascript console shows;

              'Failed to Load Resource' >> http://www.domain.co.uk/connectors/system/phpthumb.php?h=150&w=150&src=images/properties/pinkers-mead-emersons-green/50_5.jpg&source=1

              On all thumbnails.

              It could be an environment issue as this is the client's own choice of hosting but I don't see anything odd in the file paths.

              Any guidance would be fantastic smiley

                Is 'images/properties/pinkers-mead-emersons-green/50_5.jpg' the full path to the image relative to the root folder your site is installed in?

                  Yes it is. If I put the full address into my browser address bar then I get the image.

                    If you put the following into your browser do you get any image?
