    Hello,
I am running version 0.9.5 of MODX.
    User Friendly URLs are used.
    TinyMCE is used

    Everything is working ok.

    Problem is the following:
    1) We open a page in TinyMCE and add a link.
    2) The HREF is chosen from the dropdownlist in TinyMCE to be
one of the other pages in the website.
Therefor it shows up a the Internet Link MODX code in the
    HTML being [~999~]
    3) When we save the page and check the page in a browser
it appears that the URL is added behind the URL of the existing page.

    Example:
    - Current page is: http://www.mysite.com/foo/bar/
    - [~999~] translates to /other/page/
(Yes, User Friendly URLs are used, but switching them off
    gives the same effect)
    - The links shows as http://www.mysite.com/foo/bar/other/page/
While I would expect that it shows as
    http://www.mysite.com/other/page/

This looks like a problem with Relative URLs.

I have checked this forum on "User Friendly URLs", "Relative URL",
    "Link problems", etc. Nothing.
It must be something I do wrong since I cannot imagine being
the first one with this problem. But I don’t know what.

    Please help me on this.

    Thank you,

    Bert Catsburg

The BASE tag is used for the purposes of anchoring all links to the root of the site. Just make sure your templates have the following at the top of the HEAD...

      <base href="[(site_url)]"></base>

NOTE: Use the long closing tag to avoid various js errors with IE6, especially if using mootools or other js libraries on the front-end.
