    I've been through the forums and have looked at solutions presented by BobRay regarding the mod_security issue. Unfortunately, this did nothing for my issue.

    The Issue

    I can create / save a chunk, i.g. "header". I can even put in simple markup like
    <div><p>This is a test</p></div>

    That will save, no issues.

    However, if I insert a whole 'chunk' of HTML, like

    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html>
    	<head>
    	<title>Page Title</title>
    	<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0; user-scalable=0;">

    	<!-- styles -->
    	<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.1.0-rc.1/jquery.mobile-1.1.0-rc.1.min.css" />
    	<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/styles.css" />

    	<!-- scripts -->
    	<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.7.1.min.js"></script>
    	<script src="http://code.jquery.com/mobile/1.1.0-rc.1/jquery.mobile-1.1.0-rc.1.min.js"></script>
    	<script src="/js/scripts.js"></script>
    </head>
    <body>

    <div data-role="page" data-theme="a" data-content-theme="a">

    	<div data-role="header" id="header" class="ui-grid-a">
    		<div class="ui-block-a">
    			<a href="/m/" id="logo"><img src="images/logo.png" align="left" alt="logo"></a>
    		</div>
    		<div class="ui-block-b">
    			<a href="tel:409-765-9003" id="headerPhone">(409) 765-9003</a>
    		</div>

    		<!-- search -->
    	</div><!-- /header -->

    Will not allow the chunk to be saved. It ACTS like it saves with a quick flash of the screen, however the "Success!" alert for saving doesnt show up nor did it actually save anything I did.

    Again, I tried the mod_security exclusion, or at least the Client's host tells they did it (how to check??)

      UPDATE

      I started pasting line-by-line and got this far before it wouldn't save anymore

      <!DOCTYPE html>
      <html>
      	<head>
      	<title>Page Title</title>
      	<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0; user-scalable=0;">

      Anything past that wont save. Co-worker saved the exact same chunk of HTML in another site and it worked with no issue.

        Using firebug, I did see the following: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/410355/Screenshots/0x.png

        403 Plesk page...which again brings me back to the mod_security...I guess I'm double checking with Client's host...

          Client's host reports they've excluded the mod_security. Still not working (cleared MODx cache). I've asked to confirm if Host restarted the server...not sure what else to do?

            That is a server security thing. May not be mod_security, but could be something else that works in a similar fashion as well.

            If the host can't resolve something like this (which really should be easy enough for them to diagnose), move hosts.

              Client's host was finally able to get the settings just right and the stars & the moon aligned. Consider this one a lesson learned and solved.
