A little confused by this one

Here (http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Custom+Manager+Pages+in+2.3) in the docs and the url itself Modx 2.3 is being referenced but according to the download page (http://modx.com/download/) we are still on 2.21 huh

Is this a mistake or does this mean 2.3 is about be released and the docs are already being updated?

    Any suggestions?

Doesn't seem to be a mistake, possibly published in preparation for a Release Candidate of 2.3. The biggest criticisms of MODX in the past has been the lack of documentation, certainly can't be faulted on that account anymore - even is some of it goes over my head!

        Hi
2.3 is actually available on Github as develop branch.
I suppose a public release will be available soon via traditional way, and it seems this time rtfm is a bit in advance on the public release ... (Thanks for that, it's very helpful for those, as me, that develop on the dev branch from github)
        Cheers

Ah OK - thought it was probably something like that.

          Thanks.

I will have to take 2.3 for a spin when it is out of development - any sneak previews of what has been added / changed?

According to roadmap (here: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Roadmap), there's a lot cool features to wait for in 2.3:

            • Many Package Management improvements
            • Transport Package dependencies - IOW, if a Transport Package specifies a dependency of another, then the package will attempt to "retrieve" the needed package from its Provider before installing.
            • Extras Provider to PHP/REST
            • Clean up modTransportPackage
            • Auto-loading of xPDO Package classes
            • xPDOObject Facades for faster class loading
            • Options vehicle for transport packages
            • Uninstall Options (similar to setup options)
            • Better integration of modNamespace for CMPs (deprecating modAction and moving to file-based controller pages)
