I'm a new Modx user, so I would like to apologize in first if this question has been posted elsewhere. Of course I did a search before and walked the forum a bit, but I didn't find anything, surely due to my fresh modx experience.
So, I would like to know if there is a way to add custom field types that could be used with Properties or Context Settings, and control the input / output to the user.
More concrete, my goals would be to do something like colorPicker for color type, and a custom file selector that displays thumbnails (magically generated) for ttf font files instead of file names.
It would be great also if those new types could be accessible to configure an entire context (for instance, main color scheme for the site)
Is it possible to achieve such a thing without going into xpdo (private joke to another sqlite question ^^) ? And if yes, what are the best entry points to do this ?
