MemberCheck Snippet and Revo

Has anyone had success in using the beta2 package from the package manager? I keep on getting internal servers errors of:

The MemberCheck snippet doesn't work in later versions of Revo. See this thread for a replacement: http://forums.modx.com/thread/44058/membercheck-not-working#dis-post-253456

Thank you Kristoffer, I did a search but did not come across that thread (only threads that were 4-5 years old)

Maybe a note should be placed in package management indicating that MemberCheck only (partially) works for earlier builds of Revo?

You could also use the Personalize snippet if you just need to check whether the user is logged in and (I'm pretty sure) works in the current version of Revo.
