style problem in rte

Hi folks!

Have a problem in the RTE, with the CSS Styles. My xHtml template looks like this:

<p class="name1 name2">Text</p>

In my CSS File i have defined:

p

.name1

.name2

I have importet "name1" and "name2" in my RTE but i cant select them both. And even one makes a preoblem because the code looks like this:

<p><span class="name1">Text</span></p>

Not quite like i want it to be
Can I somehow change that? I want name1 and name2 class in one and both in the p
Otherwise it just dont looks like my template used to look...
Or maybe there is an other trick

But the problem is, if i select a css style from the quick edit, it goes into the span and not into the p.
i cant put something in p, only in span. and its not possible to put 2 styles in it.

even if i first select a praragraph and try to take a style after it, it dont works, i come out with this:

<p><span class="name1">txt</span></p>

maybe their just isnt a way to put a class into p without editing in html

If the class which you need for <p> is for a many lines in your page, i suggest do like this:

and if you need the class for <p> only for special lines, editing HTML willbe easy.

Well, for myself it sure is no problem to edit everything in html, since i also made my site in xhtml strict/css. but I try to make it as easy as possible for
users without any knowledge of html/css to edit their page (since that is what a cms should do for me).

Ill try to get some infos from the links u posted, thx a lot for that!
