After moving my site to a new server. The live side shows content on the site but when I go into the document it blank. If I look in the DB it show the code exists there. I install Revo 2.2.1.

    Thanks

      o.O?

Are the form fields blank in the manager, or do you not see the update form at all? If the latter, any javascript errors in the console?

Anything in the error log (Reports > Error Log)?

Just in the content section. With or without tinymce. If I copy and paste the code it stays but I have a lot of pages. No errors.

I've never heard anything like this, though I would like to see if I can find out what is causing this, as it is obviously quite critical to have the content available in its field...

Can you email me a login for the manager via mark at modx.com?

This is really weird, have never seen anything like it. Can't find anything that might cause this either...

Okay, so just chatting about this and one of the folks here has had something like this before some time ago, which seemed to be due to encoding issues in the content. Looking at your site, that does have a number of similarities. Some pages do work (eg ID 41), while others (eg ID cool don't. ID 8 does show an encoding issue in the front end:

So that could be the problem. The config file uses latin1 for the db connection, make sure that matches the database configuration as well. If it does, you can try a reimport of the data (making sure the collation used matches both the new and old database), or manually fixing the encoding issues.

Fixed it. Based on your info I reran setup. Went to advanced and set the collation to match the database I imported. Whala!! everything back to normal and the symbols are gone too.

I'll be more careful to make sure these match in the future.

                  Thanks!

Glad you got it sorted smiley

Props to Dustin (our latest UI/UX guru) for the hat tip on the encoding wink
