Is there an easy way to modify which files are editable in File Manager?

I have a couple of files that end in .cfg (filename.cfg) that I would like to let manager-users edit using File Manager. It seems to be limited to .txt, .html, and .php. I know I could rename the files to .txt but that would involve editing a number of references to them in a number of different files so I’m hoping there’s a line of code or a configuration setting somewhere that I could edit.

I looked for a setting in config.inc.php but didn’t find anything. (It seems more logical to put it there than in the core code).

You will need to look in the top of "manager/actions/files.dynamic.php" and change the $editablefiles and the $inlineviewablefiles array
