I keep getting lots of unwanted backslashes in my resources. everytime I edit a template for instance, it will add an extra backslash infront of quotes. It just keeps adding them, so it might look like href=\\\\\\\\"
Does anyone know how to fix this? it's evolution 1.0.6

Hello,
You have Magic Quotes enabled on your server, you need to disable them in order to stop the backslash insanity.
The problem is I don't have direct access to server settings. I tried disabling magic quotes in the .htaccess file but to no avail.
can you use a php.ini file?
I don't think I can get access the THE php.ini file....but I have heard of using or creating multiple php.ini files and placing them in the directories that things need to be adjusted, is that what you mean?

In most cases you can't access the main php.ini file, so you will need to create a custom one (see:
http://tips-scripts.com/php_ini). If that doesn't work you may need to investigate switching hosting providers to one who has it disabled.
