I have a website built on MODx, nothing too big, but there is already a decent amount of recources and, more importantly, elements. And the Resource Tree behavior is becoming more and more annoying, especially when the Elements tab is opened. It expands, and expands, and expands, opening the nodes I don't want to open, opening the nodes I collapsed, constantly disabling itself, jumping under the mouse cursor...

I have also made a mistake of adding several element categories, which doesn't speed the things up either. smiley The tree sometimes takes up to 7 seconds to stop blinking, enabling and disabling itself.

Now, I think I'd rather wait while it is being built on the server side. smiley Does anybody know if there is any way to do it?

I actually did a bit of a quick experiment with building it server-side some time ago, though I can't say I'm too pleased with the result. I didn't have / take the time to completely rewrite its processor (which could pick up some more speed, it's simply calling itself recursively now in a hack-ish way), and I noticed no speed improvements compared to having it load level-by-level. https://github.com/modxcms/revolution/pull/271
