I have been some what disappointed by MODx Documentation to learn how MODx works. I can do the same in Dreamweaver. OSCOMMERCE has a better set up in everything. In anyway to try it all before turning thumb down, where can i find a GOOD tutorial in how to operate MODx?

eh if you compare MODx to dreamweaver and OSCommerce i think you don’t grasp what MODx exactly is and does. huh

What documentation are you referring to specifically? Also what is the application to which you’re referring that osCommerce is so superior? If ecommerce, that goes without saying!

Yes I hoped to use it for ecommerce, but is not structured for it.

MODx is a Content Management Framework more suited to building marketing sites and custom web applications. osCommerce is an ecommerce platform that’s been in existence for many years. You could build an ecommerce solution in MODx tailored exactly to your needs, build a bridge that integrates systems or use shopX as a starting point. You can also use FoxyCart.com which is a very cool hosted cart/checkout/shipping solution that’s making great headway.
