I'm a newcomer to ModX in general so please be patient if I ask a few beginner questions I didn't get answers to by using google
I've setup DitsNews according to the installation remarks.
Users can signup propperly and are added into my standard group.\
However sending a newsletter is not yet working.
The problem: I don't actually know WHAT to send.
I have setup a resource on the main page, but entering that ID into the document field did not send an actual e-mail, just an empty file.
It all boils down to this code in core/components/ditsnews/model/ditsnews/ditsnews.class.php:
$c = $this->modx->newQuery('dnQueue');
$c->limit(50);
$c->where( array('sent' => 0) );
$queue = $this->modx->getCollection('dnQueue', $c);
not returning anything with actual content.
Especially:
$message = $newsletter->get('message');
allways being empty.
Now I'd like to know
how I am being stupid, because I certainly hope it is me being stupid
A few notes: It would be really nice if the dependencies would be stressed more, because uninstalled dependencies didn't actually generate any kind of error, they just didn't work.
