This probably is an obvious question but I wanted to make sure it causes no problem because I am now migrating my website away from the exisiting server.

I have the images and stylesheet folder placed in the root directory on my server, when I first decided to do it this way, it was out of habit and I didn’t think it could cause problem (so far so good!). Just wanted to make sure this is not a bad habit.

    Thanks!

MODx doesn’t restrict you in any case, but since there is already a folder structure in assets/ so I prefer using it. smiley

There are no restrictions. In fact I have done setups where I have all images in the /assets/images and I have done them where I have the images all in the root. Usually I have keep images in root when I am going to do a WordPress or OpenRealty integration. One of the eleventeen thousand things that is cool about MODx is the limitless configurations. That is the difference between a framework and a system.
