    Hello all,

    I moved my site from:

    /home1/jbmaudio/public_html/jbmautomation

    to

    /home1/jbmaudio/public_html/

I thought i got all the urls changed but apparently i missed one. I downloaded Captcha but when I tried to install it I got this:

    Console running...
Attempting to install package with signature: captcha-3.2.4-beta1
    Package found...now preparing to install.
Could not open file for reading: captcha-3.2.4-beta1.transport.zip?revolution_version=Revolution-2.2.0-pl2
MODX could not download the file. You must enable allow_url_fopen, cURL or fsockopen to use remote transport packaging.
Could not transfer package captcha-3.2.4-beta1.transport.zip to /home1/jbmaudio/public_html/jbmautomation/core/packages/.
Could not install package with signature: captcha-3.2.4-beta1

/home1/jbmaudio/public_html/jbmautomation/core/packages/. I think is the problem, it should be

    /home1/jbmaudio/public_html/core/packages/.

the packages are still pointing to the wrong directory.

Where can look to make sure that all the urls that needed to be changed are ?

    thanks

9 out of 10 times when I run into this issue, it's b/c I didn't completely update the config file and change all the file paths correctly. It sounds like "jbmautomation" is still in your config file (located here: core >> config >> config.inc.php). Do a search on that file I'm pretty sure you'll find "jbmautomation" still in there.

If all else feels, follow the steps closely here:

      http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Moving+Your+Site+to+a+New+Server

I can't tell you how many times I got in a rush and didn't follow all those steps correctly, missed something and then of course something wouldn't work.

Post back if you can't figure it out.

For others with a similar problem. Running Setup in upgrade mode is necessary when you move the MODX directory, even if you're on the same server. Clearing your browser cache and cookies is often necessary as well.

You may also need to change the path in the modx_workspaces table in the DB.

Yeh, Running Setup was a step I skipped many times only to end up banging my head on the desk. Once I ran the setup, everything started working again. I just follow the steps in the link I provided above...saves me a lot of time and heartache.

Also another thing I had to change is in the Gallery settings. You have to change the url where it points to the gallery images. I did this in the site settings.

              Thanks for all your help

Just to provide a bit of future insight/prospective relief.. the path in the database (modx_workspaces table) and Gallery have had their paths changed to {core_path}/whatever, meaning that should cause less frustrations and facepalms from 2.2 onwards when moving sites smiley
