    Dear Modxfriends,

I installed Modx on my Shared Hosting. Twice. The first time uploaded it, the second I had it installed through my Hosting CPanel Softaculous.

In both times after installation... I can enter the Manager panel but once inside I cannot do anything: I see the dashboard with Dashbord - Site - Security - Tools - Reports - System - User - Support but I do not see anything beneath them, nothing else than a blank background.

When I enter I do see the MODX News Feed and the MODX Security Feed and below I see NO ACTIVE USERS FOUND in the WHO IS ONLINE TAB. Also: I do not see the box with RESOURCES, ELEMENTS and FILES TABS. That does not appear. I see there should be one in watching this: http://modx.com/software/open-source-cms/modx-revolution/ But this left sided Operation Box is not existing in my installation at:

snoop.skye.pro - Login and Password: admin

but after no one of the menu buttons - nor the submenus ones - work. I cannot import any package, go anywhere, no buttons work, not even the logout on the right works. I am stuck there wathing a menu bar and a blank background.

What can I do from here? Where can I go? How I can start with Modx if none ot the menu items has a function?link in return?

    Apache version 2.2.21
    PHP version 5.2.17
    MySQL version 5.0.95-community
    O.System (Shared Hosting inspirohost.com): LINUX

    MODX Revolution 2.2.0-pl2
no changes made (I cannot do anythings!)
    no snippets
    no pluging, nothing imported

    Browser: Mozilla Firefox Version 11.0

You could try turning off compress_js and compress_css.
You'll have to do it in the database. In the database find the modx_system_settings table and look for compress_js and compress_css; set them to 0 (that is a zero) instead of 1.

And you may as well delete your cache folder in the core directory (a manual cache clearing) - though one would think that should be nothing in it yet.

Don't know if this will fix your problem but it is quick and easy to do so you may as well try. [ed. note: whistlemaker last edited this post 14 years, 6 months ago.]

You might want to try the latest nightly build - see this thread: https://forums.modx.com/thread/?thread=73073&page=3

SPECIAL THANX! I was Stuck and Desperate! Now compress_js and compress_css both have the binary value "zero" and after clearing the cache (not without doing it) it worked and still works!
