I have MIGX 1.1.0rc2 installed and in use in numeral places. Now i updated to MODX 2.2.0 and it seems i have to update MIGX too. Update doesn't work via package manager ("Your package is already up-to-date at: migx-1.1.0-rc2").
So how do i do the update? Do i uninstall the old version and install the new one? What will that do to all the MIGX-TVs that are already in use on the site?

that's becauce MIGX 2.0 (for Revo 2.2) ist still beta.
You can uninstall your old Version and download the new one by package-management.
Or you can download from Repo and upload to your packages-folder manually.
Your old TVs will stay intact.

What's working a bit different is the new autoincrementing MIGX_id field.
You will need to resave all Datasets to get the MIGX_id-field into all records.
Otherwise there will be issues on the frontend.
If you do not want to resave them all you can use the property

      &placeholdersKeyField=`0`

      in all your getImageList-snippet-tags

I ran into the same problem and it took me quite some time and effort to find what went wrong and to find this thread solving the issue. I can understand you don't want to adjust the manual as long as the new version is in beta, but I strongly suggest you mention fundamental changes like this one (including the relevant parameters) in the changelog. The problem reared its head in a client's website, who was less than pleased. Solving the issue cost me valuable time, money and credit with my client.

On a more positive note: I love MIGX. It's very flexible and really fills a void, so keep up the good work!
