    Hi folks

I am having trouble transferring one of my sites from one location to another but on the same server.

The current website design is www.kettlebelltrainer.co.uk/newsite and I need to transfer to www.kbteducation.co.uk. I have had a go but nothing is working correctly.

The databases are held on the same server, so not sure if this needs to change.

Please help as a I am due to go live tomorrow and I have run out of ideas.

Any he would be greatly appreciated. [ed. note: smashingred last edited this post 14 years, 6 months ago.]

        Which version of modx?
        Is nothing really working?
What have you done so far?
What are you trying to do? - you say "one location to another"
Does that mean a new URL only?
Does that mean a new database and a new URL?
Does that mean a new modx install, a new database and a new URL?

The one thing I think I know is that you are using the same server - at least for the database - but if that is so why are we not just talking about changing the URL ?

        Too many questions...

          Modx Revolution 2.1.5
I can login to the Modx manager, but then everything is displayed as a list and nothing works.
I have transferred the files from one folder to another so newsite copied to www.kbteducation.co.uk. The are all on the same server.
The pictures on the website are not displaying, see kbteducation.co.uk
The same database will be used as it is on the same host within Sql
I have run setup again as an upgrade but still not luck

There are four (I think) config files that have to be changed to reflect the difference in file paths. Have you edited your .htaccess file to change the RewriteBase from /subdir to just / ?
