Hi, i've set up my first site using revo 2.2.0pl and added a user with default permission of Content Editor, which i've then began to edit using the check boxes to specify what can and can't be accessed. I've only un-checked anything that was checked in the first place which i felt wasn't necessary for my user. However, when i log into the manager under their login details, i tried to edit given page content and tv's, and when i hit save, the change is carried out on the site, but then the manager screen disappears to reveal a blank screen with the message 'error- access denied'. I've been trying to figure out if there's a setting i may have to change via trial and error and can't seem to solve this. I actually had all permissions for the given user working fine, but then found that they all reset themselves when i re-run setup upon finishing the build of the site (does 'flushing permissions' do this? as i may have done this in the manager prior to re-running set up).

Would anyone have any hint of why this is happening.. I also wanted to ask, in the manager, what are the 3 small box icons for on the top right (the first one of which has a plus sign and reads 'add another').

That's why you never want to modify the default policies. wink

Duplicate them, modify the duplicate, and assign the duplicate policy in the ACL entry.

The buttons at the upper right determine what happens when you save a resource. I can't remember what the official names are, but the options are close, continue editing, and add another.

"Continue editing" (the default) leaves you with the same object on the screen when you save. The "add another" is for when you want to create a bunch of objects in a row -- when you save one, you get a new blank form for entering the next one, but you have to remember to turn that off when you're done.
