0.9.6 and tinymce questions

So I upgraded to 0.9.6 and some funky things are going on with tinymce that I just can’t figure out.

1) the tool bar now appears at the bottom of the field, is there anyway to get this to appear at the top?
2) in 0.9.5 when I clicked the image button i got a little file browser button that appears next to the url field so that I could upload or select an image ( i didn’t have to know the url) in 0.9.6 it doesn’t appear anymore. is there anyway to get this back? (same thing with insert/edit link)

TinyMCE Config/Settings are found in a couple places.. Have a look in the Manager in these spots..

Tools -> Configuration -> Interface & Features (All the way at the bottom you’ll see TinyMCE Settings - You can change the TinyMCE theme being used here.)

Resources -> Manage Resources -> Plugins -> TinyMCE (You can hack around at the Config a bit more here) - For example, using the Advanced Theme, that setting you were hunting down is found like this.. ..

Mess with the themes a bit, that should probably get you sorted out. Good luck mate.

I for the life of me cannot figure this out. I looked in all of the ares you suggested and it doesnt seem to make a different.

By default the location of the toolbar for the Simple and Advanced themes is at the bottom. This is hard coded into the theme and cannot be changed. If you prefer it to be at the top you can use the Content Editor theme or pick the Custom theme and set the buttons and plugins to match any of the other themes. Both the Content Editor and Custom themes are set to display the toolbar at top instead of the bottom.

All that I had to do is set the editor to custom and everything went back to normal.

Any idea why this setting would’ve changed after an upgrade from 0.9.5 to 0.9.6?

Turns out it only changed on the admin account. therefore I think it might have been something I did without realizing it.
