I am having issues with SPForm. It works after I reinstall it, but now it does not work again. After you hit the submit button it goes to a white screen and the url is the contact from and not the result form.

I am having this issue on every site I am using it with. you can see what I mean here:

    http://jbmautomation.com/contact/

Why does this work right after it is installed but then stops?

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

And it worked. I do not not what is going on with this form. I can not figure out why it works sometimes and not others.

Also, it does not work with my iPhone for some reason. It says the last name field has not been filled out. There is no last name field?

Are you sure it's not telling you that the last_name field *has* been filled out? That's a hidden field there to catch spam-bots who fill it out because they can't see that it's hidden.

Do you have a password manager that might be autofilling that field?

You can turn that option off with &useHiddenField=`0`

              Bob,

That might be it....Let me try typing it in again.

Also, it seems to work as along as I use [[!SPForm? &useTimer=`0` &warnAll=`1`]] for the call. could it be the timer that is timing out and causing it to go to a blank white screen. But it has work for 2 days, and that is the longest that has worked so far. Making progress!

You can turn any of the spam-proofing options off using the parameters you see in the debug display.

                &optionName=`0`

If you have other JS on the page, it could possibly conflict with the useTimer or "requireMouseOrKeyboard".

Since you have &warnAll turned on, though, you really should be seeing an error message instead of a blank page when it doesn't work. I don't know why you're not seeing that unless there's a problem with the server or with MODX that's keeping it from forwarding properly when the form is valid.

What version of MODX are you using?

Ok I don't think I was clear. I will recap:

When I call the form by

                  [[!SPForm?]

it works initially, but after some time goes right to the white screen. Must get an error of some sort.

When I changed the call to

                  [[!SPForm? &useTimer=`0` &warnAll=`1`]]

it has been working for 3 days. I am assuming it was timing out, and setting the &userTimer to 0 fixed the problem

The problem with the iPhone was exactly what you said it was. The autofill was filling in hidden fields. When I typed the info in, it worked.

I think I have it working now....I will keep you posted.

                  Thanks for your help!

Lots of people have password managers now, so &useHiddenField=`0` is not a bad idea. I think most bad bots probably know better than to fill in a hidden field anyway. If you have bad bot trouble, the most reliable method by far is Captcha with the mathstring option. If you do that, you can turn off all the other spam-proofing options.
