    Is there a template tag or simple way to include the page's friendly url?

    It is easy enough to use the index.php?id version for navigation links, but there are many forms and social media connectors for which having the full friendly url would be preferable.

      Navigation links? Menu or just links?

      Menus should be using Wayfinder, which uses the MODX resource ID.

      Either way, you should be using the resource ID and not the full url of links. That's what MODX is good for. The output in the address bar and source will be the FURL as long as you have FURL's on in the site settings.

      like this:

      <a href="[[~id]]">

      If you insert links with tinyMCE it'll do this for you.

        You got me going down the right path, thanks.

        [[++site_url]][[~[[*id]]]]

        ... will generate the full furl of the page at hand.

        These are being used as hidden inputs for forms, for social media posts, for display purposes, etc. We want the full friendly url to be seen, because they are more indicative of what the webpage is about and because they are more SEO beneficial since they point to the same urls gathered by search engines. To switch back and forth between resource ids and furls would be problematic for outsiders.
