    Hi, I've just successfully built my first revo site (2.2.0pl2) and did it by setting up a cpanel account, installing revo at the root, and viewing my site by going to ip-address/~username (& accessing the manager by going to /manager from the temp url). Now the site is ready, i have re-pointed client domain so this is live. I then re-run set up.

    My question is, before i can activate seo furls, i notice that the url for all pages reads domain.com/~username/index.php?id=4 for example, and i'm sure the username shouldn't be appearing in there. In a previous thread, i was told that a re-run of setup usually straightens these things out. I've already done this, and in another thread that was based around the method i have used here- to build a modx site on a temporary domain, as well as re-running setup, it says i also need to fix 4 instances in the config.inc.php file that setup seems to miss. My problem is that i don't entirely know what 'fix 4 instances' means or what lines i need to change in this file.

    Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

      Too many threads. This is all one discussion, now there are three. P:lease keep everything in one post so that people can follow your issue beginning to end.

      The information is in the documentation you've been referenced a few times in the other threads for moving your site. It tells within these docs exactly what to modify.

      If you're using MODX to modify the files, I strongly suggest using an external editor such as Notepad++ to do the edits. With syntax highlighting and a good find function it's far easier than searching through in the MODX manager editor. You can also FTP through Notepad++ and if you muck something up, just ctrl+Z (undo) till you're back to original, and then save via ftp.

        Apologies for any confusion caused. I successfully managed to get everything working. After clearing core/cache, re-running set up, i then amended four lines in the config.inc.php consisting of removing '/~username' from wherever it happened to appear. I then renamed ht.access to .htaccess as follows before activating furls in the system settings tab

        RewriteEngine On
        RewriteBase /

        # Rewrite www.domain.com -> domain.com -- used with SEO Strict URLs plugin
        #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} .
        #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^my-domain-name-here\.com [NC]
        #RewriteRule (.*) http://my-domain-here.com/$1 [R=301,L]

        It was then necessary to clear site cache in the manager for the SEO FURL's to display correctly.
