I have a site that works fine on the production server but behaves strangely once I set it up to work locally with xampp.

With FURLs on, all pages beyond the start page appear totally blank. No MODx parse errors, no php errors, nothing. It’s as if the page template was blank (which it isn’t). The preview works fine though, and the problem disappears once I turn off friendly URLs.

This happens both with in xampp linux (1.6.1) and xampp winxp (1.6.2), MODx 0.9.5 and MODx 0.9.6.

I know this must be something wrong with this specific site because I have other local MODx installs with the same FURLs setting and they work flawlessly.

    Any clues?

Is this happening when you pull down a live, working site to a local dev environment? If so, I suspect it’s a difference in configuration settings.

Correct, production -> server. I got it, a bad .htaccess file causing the problem.

This is spooky, I swear I checked and double-checked that one a number of times - I always change the [tt]RewriteBase ...[/tt] line after importing from the online server.

Thanks for pointing that out, Ryan. Problem solved! smiley
